Whilst the bookies put England as favorite to win and England are helped by Portugal missing some key players to suspensions and possible injuries the consensus is probably that England will need to improve to win.
I cannot see it being a high scoring match because I cannot see England scoring many goals with their newfound formation and a currently lacklustre Lampard. A draw after 90 minutes looks to be good value at 2:1 as does Gerrard being first scorer (9-1 bet365).
Beyond that though England being ahead after 90 minutes and then it being a draw after 90 pays 14-1 (bet365). This strikes me as excellent value as England have a habit of trying to sit on a win rather than build on it and are probably favorites for the first goal in what might be a low scoring encounter. There defence has not looked as strong as it should and there is no guarentee than Neville will be 100% after his injury so there is a decent chance of them conceeding a lead.
