After watching most of the games in the round robin stage two of the strong contenders for winning the tournament would seem to be
Ronnie
John Higgins
I doubt that Ronnie will get good odds and the same could possibly be said for John Higgins. Ronnie will be getting a tough match against the superb potter that is Neil Robertson. Whilst Ronnie is on form his form can be a little fickle and in a best of 9 anything can happen. Ronnie possibly is not the man with the best composure to deal with finishing off a frame that robertson has score in but not scored 60+ points in.
The bookies put ronnie slightly more of a favourite in that match than he probably deserves but overall i still feel that ronnie is a good contender for the tournament. But Higgins might be a slightly better value option.
