This is decision point. It is a 10$+1 1 table Pot high low game on party. Were it a ring game I would be loath to do too much when someone could have hit a straight. I sense weakness in this 110 bet - i mean wouldnt you want to show strength/ protect your hand against other straights/ flush draws etc.

It is only about 8th hand but I sense weakness. What would you do?

I can call (i think with overpair + flush draw and inside straight draw fold is not appropriate here) or I can raise. I want to take down the pot without risking too much more - the pot is large enough a steal.

I raise [1344]. - the max
briwba folds.
holydivuh calls [1116].

What would your read him as having? I thought top pair + a straight draw OR a made straight

** Dealing Turn ** [ 7c ]
holydivuh is all-In [266]
I call [266].
** Dealing River ** [ Jc ]
holydivuh shows [ 7h, 9c, 8h, Ac ] a straight, seven to jack.
I show [ Ad, Js, As, 6c ] a pair of aces.
holydivuh wins 3880 chips from the main pot with a straight, seven to jack.
There was no qualifying low hand.
Game #3995091001 starts.

He had 10 cards giving him a straight that doesn't give me a better one BUT 3 of them give me a flush AND even if he gets it then I have chances of catching a flush or a better straight. True his pair could become three of a kind etc but this could also give me a flush. In short he could assume he has plenty of outs but it still seems a poor play. This is of course irrelevant. It does not matter whether you are beaten by good play from your opponent or bad. Its your play that counts. I expect terrible play in these tournaments and am rarely dissapointed.

I like my reraise rather than a flat call. I mean if he catches his straight I am going to be in a position where I have to fold the better hand. But that is no bad thing. If I knew he would call my bet, given I will get other oppertunities later should I make my re-raise?

I think it is a pretty closse call.
