View Full Version : Streaks - Are they real or imagined?

I have heard people talk about some casinos - whilst being "fair" still having an abnormal degree of "streakyness" about the results. What this means is that you might go through a period of winning MUCH more than you should and then a period of LOSING much more than you should.

Is it true though? I have seen peoples whose opinions I respect support this and it is true on some of the casinos I have played on it seems to hold true. However I still remain a little dubious. I mean WHY would a casino want this? It could of course just be a fault in any randomisation software.

Whilst I remain dubious I would be interested to see if anyone has done any research into this. If it is true then on these casinos you should be able to make a little money. Just increase your bets when it is a positive streak and reduce your bets when it is a negative streak.
